We’re excited to share some important news: as of July 1, 2025, San Francisco Otolaryngology Medical Group—along with its affiliated practices, including San Francisco Audiology—has come together under a new name: SH Medical.
This new name reflects who we are today: a comprehensive medical group offering specialized care across ENT, audiology, allergy, sleep medicine, voice disorders, and more. While our identity has evolved, our legacy remains rooted in over 80 years of service to the Bay Area, beginning with the founding of our original ENT clinic by Dr. Meyer Schindler in 1940.
What This Means for You
Although our name is changing, the care and experience you receive will not:
- Same Team – You’ll continue seeing the providers and staff you know and trust.
- Same Access – Your medical records and MyChart login will stay exactly as they are.
- Same Locations & Services – We’re still offering the same wide range of services across the same locations.

As we’ve grown over the years, we’ve expanded our focus to offer more integrated and collaborative care. The SH Medical name allows us to bring all our specialties together under one umbrella—making it easier for patients to access coordinated care in one place.
